Banana
is a rich storehouse of iron, pectin and Vitamin C.
it also contains protein and manganese. This fruit is
inexpensive and easily available. It is more common
during winters but also available in the summer.
Doctors say that you can have 2 bananas for breakfast
and you will be full of energy and vigor right till
lunchtime. Banana is rich, wholesome fruit. It has effective
stomach binding qualities. If you have a bad bout of
diarrhoea, 2 bananas taken immediately after, will settle
the stomach and bind the watery stools.
Banana is very good for the formation of bones. It
is rich in calories and has some content of fat as well.
People trying to lose weight should avoid eating bananas.
- Bananas contain pectin, which is excellent for
the stomach. It cures stomach and gastric disorders.
- It cures respiratory disorders and chest congestion.
It strengthens bones and helps build brittle nails.
- Bananas are a good cure for insomnia and restlessness.
They even have a sedative effect if taken with warm
milk.
- Bananas raise the red and white blood corpuscle
count in the blood. They increase the level of haemoglobin
and ability to fight disease.
- As they contain Vitamin C, they also help in the
case of cough and cold.
- Slice 3 bananas. Sprinkle then with sugar and pour
smooth curd on top. Makes a good dessert. If feeling
queasy, one can skip a meal and just have this filling
dish instead.
- Blend two bananas with 2 glasses of milk and 2 tsp.
of sugar in a mixer. Add ice cubes and have delicious
and energizing banana milk shake.
