Plants and Natural Remedies >>Cinnamon
Cinnamon
(dalcheeni) is another very expensive herb. It, in a
way, completes the family of clove and cardamom. The
three are generally ground and kept aside to mix in
tea water before boiling. Cinnamon cures coughs, colds
and respiratory disorders. It is good for the stomach
but should not be had in excess in summer.
It brings relief to gastric disorders and queasy
stomachs. It has a strong and pungent smell.
- A small cinnamon stick can be put in the teapot
while the tea is brewing. If you want a stronger flavor;
then grind and mix a pinch of the cinnamon powder
while the water is boiling.
- Cinnamon powder can also be mixed with hot milk.
It is good to drink this just before going to bed.
It gives warmth and also relaxes the body. An excellent
prelude to a soothing, restful sleep.
