fragrance. The fragrance increases at night and the

Jasmine flowers are popularly used to make gajra to
adorn hair. The plant looks particularly attractive
if grown on a trellis. They are considered to be auspicious
and are used for religious occasions. They are also
offered to gods and goddesses during traditional poojas.
Jasmine can be used to add a light, perfumed flavor
to tea and other beverages. It clears the blood of impurities.
- A syrup made of jasmine flowers is very good for
curing cough and cold.
- Chewing of jasmine leaves is good for curing mouth
ulcers.
- Make leaf tea to rinse sore eyes and wounds.
- Headaches and insomnia are relieved with tea made
from the root of jasmine.
- Jasmine makes a very popular attar. It is a cosmetic
oil used widely in perfumes.
- Jasmine is good for skins that are hot, dry and
overly sensitive.
