Major Arcana
The Major arcana consists of 22 pages. The major arcana is more concerned with the reasons behind events. It can be described like a man on a journey, he starts on the road and encounters all manner of people and events along the way and through these experiences he learns life's lessons and becomes more enlightened and fulfilled by the time he reaches the 22 cards the World. It is a physical as well as a spiritual journey. Wherever the major cards falls there is a stronger influence in that area of the inquirers life.

1. The Fool
   symbolises child-like confidence, trust and optimism. This card represents fresh starts, mystery, a dash of genius, adventure and a brilliant opportunity to remake life.
2. The Magician
   Appearances are not what they seem, says this card of illusion and creative energy. It shows that the imagination and creative ability can be yours.
   
3. The High Priestess
   This card represents intuition. It shows us that the goal of self-realisation can be achieved by overcoming self-doubt, and looking deeply into life and love.
   
4. The Empress
   This is a symbol of unconditional love. The woman on this card promises harmony at work and at home - marriage, security and warmth.
5. The Emperor
   This is a card of leadership, power and strength. It is symbolic of courage and also suggests tenderness under a tough exterior.
6. The Hierophant
   This is a card of guidance and teaching, and of personal conscience. It suggests that though you can get advice from various sources, only you can apply it to your life.
7. The Lovers
   This is both an intriguing and exciting card. A card of romantic choices, passion and temptations.
8. The Chariot
   This card helps us define our goals. Movement, activity, travel and progress are the main themes of this card.
9. Justice
   This card represents balance, fairness and decisions, and is also a strong symbol of second chances in love.
10. The Hermit
    This card gives us a chance to look within and review our lives, our feelings and our emotions. It is a guiding light and a promise of brighter times.
11. The Wheel of Fortune
    The circle of life and fate spins on this card of changes. It reminds us that fortunes can turn either way, but both outcomes have much to teach.
12. Strength
    This card signifies emotional courage and physical strength, leading to positive action.
13. The Hanged Man
    It signifies that once you have taken the plunge, you will never go back. This is a strong symbol of losing something familiar in order to gain a richer understanding and a new beginning.
14. Death
    This is a symbol of change. This card shows that by accepting the loss of old love, old links and old ideas, life opens to new possibilities.
15. Temperance
    It represents clarity, the process of healing, refinement and self-renewing.
16. The Devil
    Power, lust, money and sexual desire - the strongest of emotions lie at this card's roots. And the chained figures of a man and a woman show how hard it can be to break free. This card represents the facing of the difficult truth; a choice between the wrong direction and the desire to find a better way of living.
17. The Tower
    This card heralds huge and often unexpected changes. It acts as a Karmic cleansing instrument. It affects not just people but also entire countries. Climate, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, wars, famines, volcanic eruptions, all are linked with the Tower.
    
18. The Star
    It represents peace of mind, serenity and tranquillity.
    
19. The Moon
    This card represents the subconscious and the hidden emotions. It signifies sensitivity, and a need to end illusions.
20. The Sun
    This card is about action, construction and planning. A card of success, clear skies and the promise of a brilliant future.
21. Judgment
    This card indicates major changes and transformations. It is the sign of looking back, perhaps with disappointment, as actions are judged. And of looking forward with new hope.
22. The World
    This last card of the Major Arcana predicts that a whole new world is waiting to open up, taking you on inner and outer journeys
