Melon
or Kharbooza, a tasty, juicy fruit, is like the watermelon.
It also prevents dehydration and sunstroke in the hot
summer. It keeps the skin from ageing and maintains
the water balance in the body. It contains iron, vitamin
A, E and C. this fruit has very tasty seeds which are
dried and used to garnish desserts and sweetmeats.
Melon can be sliced and even had as juice. It is a
very good moisturizer and keeps the skin youthful and
elastic. It improves blood circulation and tones up
the muscles. It is refreshing and cures insomnia. It
also helps soothe the nerves and restlessness of spirit.
It is wholesome and filling. It improves the appetite
and is a good, healthy fruit to be consumed in the summer.
It guards the human body against sunstroke and the
harmful ultraviolet rays of the sun.
- Cut a whole melon into small cubes and add to custard.
If the melon is not sweet, you can cut it into slices
and sprinkles sugar on top. Let it lie in the refrigerator
for a few hours. The sugar will seep into the fruit
and make it sweet.
- Doctors recommend melon because of its soothing
and moisturizing properties. It cures acidity and
relieves burning sensation in the stomach.
- Take a fresh cube of melon and rub gently over face
and neck. Splash cold water on the face after a while.
