Vegetables and Fruits For your Good Health >> Red Carrots

red carrot, builds red blood corpuscles, reduces cholesterol, antisepticThis fibrous vegetable has a very high content of Vitamin A and E and carotene. It has 20 times as much vitamin A as is found in milk. It helps build red blood corpuscles; hence it helps increase the body's resistance to disease. It is good for reducing cholesterol.

It is also antiseptic in nature and purifies the blood. Carrots are very good for the eyes. They prevent night blindness. Recommended for growing children, adults and old people alike.

  • Take about 8 medium sized carrots. Wash and clean them. Take about 50gm of ginger and one beetroot. Add salt and sugar to taste. Mix all these in a blender and drink while the juice is fresh. It is a tasty and nutritious drink.
  • Carrot is very good for the skin. Keeps it youthful and elastic. Carrot is highly recommended by doctors to prevent ageing and wrinkles. Carrot can be used for making cream and face packs. It also serves as an excellent sun-block. Take 2 tsp. of carrot juice. Add a few drops of almond oil and one teaspoon of besan. Make a soft paste and apply on face and neck. Leave on for about 20 minutes and then wash with cold water. Apply a light cream after this.
