Vegetables and Fruits For your Good Health >> Reetha

reetha, improves blood circulation, treats dandruffThese dark brown pods are highly beneficial for the hair. Reetha completes the family of shikakai and trifla. Equal proportions of all three, can be soaked in water and then used to clean hair.

Reetha is rich in iron, phosphorus and vitamin A.

  • Soak reetha overnight and then make a paste from the soaked pods. Apply this paste on the hair and leave for an hour. Wash off with a good shampoo or even rinse with plain water. This lends the hair a rich, dark color. It improves blood circulation in the scalp and treats dandruff.
  • Reetha also darkens hair color and gives it a rich texture. Reetha water can be used to clean and wash hair. It can be mixed with shikakai and trifla to make a healthy hair wash. If you are used to a good lather while cleaning your hair, you can wash hair with your favorite shampoo. After doing so you can use reetha water as the final rinse. This will make the hair shine and also keep it tangle free.
  • Soak about 10-12 pods of reetha in a bowl of clean water. Cover the bowl and leave overnight. Strain the water and use it to clean glasses, cutlery and crystal ware.
